Breast Lift

Overview
Mastopexy simply means lifting of the breast. Women commonly request this procedure following childbirth and breastfeeding, or significant weight loss.

The procedure involves some scarring on the breast. This may be a periareolar scar (around the nipple) or it may involve a vertical extension on the lower pole of the breast. The procedure also involves suspension of the breast tissue internally. It may be combined with a breast augmentation (implants) if a larger size is desired.
